The Era of Social
Media Marketing
With a boost in digital
advertising, the list of responsibilities for a social media marketer is
increasing every day. Not only do they have to draw insights about their users,
organise and schedule content, and work towards creating engagement, but they
also have to overlook the smooth running of multiple brand accounts. And so
that their passions don't turn into a nightmare, they rely on social media
tools to streamline all their work. To further understand which tools are used
by these managers, we conducted a poll with 527 respondents. Crowdfire (12.33%), SocialPilot (12.14%), and Buffer (12.71%)
topped the list, followed by ContentCal (7.21%), BrandMentions (7.21%), and HootSuite
(6.83%). While some people voted for KeyHole (5.31%) and BuzzSumo
(5.12%), some found Iconosquare (4.74%)
and Sprout Social (4.55%) easier to operate. A few other apps that made the list were Sendible (3.98%),
CoSchedule (3.80%), TailWind (3.61%), and MeetEdgar (3.04%). Lastly, a few people were also comfortable with Agorapulse (2.66%), Klear (2.47%), and IFTTT (2.28%).
The market is highly fragmented when it comes to social media tools, but it
looks like each app is performing well as they have successfully met the tall
order of a social media manager's requirements.
